Thank you so much for taking the time to learn a little more about us. We have been married for almost seven years and have always known we wanted to be parents, but we were in no rush. About a year after we were married, I began having complications--I was gaining weight, getting cystic acne, hormonal problems, and not having a cycle. I knew something wasn’t right, but my doctor said, “You are young and fine and come back in a year if nothing has happened.” Throughout the following year, I continued having problems and in 2015, I finally decided to change to a new doctor and we found some answers when I was diagnosed with polycycstic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). The doctor encouraged me to have a surgery to help the PCOS, but still no results. In the summer of 2016, we finally got the courage to go to a fertility specialist and found out Kevin had a low sperm count. It felt as though everything was against us. Our only options were adoption or IVF (invitro fertilization) and we quickly knew IVF was something we didn’t want to do. We began prayerfully considering adoption, praying that God would show us if this was His will for our lives. A few months later, the right doors opened up and here we are, excited about this journey of adoption. Thank you for your continued prayers, support, and encouragement!
