It is with heavy hearts we share the news of the sudden passing of our dear friend, Dan O’Shea. Those blessed with knowing Danny are heartbroken over the loss of this amazing man. Dan’s humble nature and his ability to make others feel important made him so very likeable by all who met him.
Dan had great love for his family and friends. He was a devoted husband to his high school sweetheart, Lisa, and the proud father of Jess, 19, and Nick, 17. Dan’s passion for life and family was matched by his great passion for the game of soccer, which he shared with family and friends. He contributed to the game of soccer as a player, coach, and administrator, and made lifelong friends along the way.
Dan was an exceptional role model for all who knew him. He had a generous and giving heart, always willing to help in any way. His smiling face, quick wit, and giving heart will forever be remembered.
Dan was a proud father to Jess and Nick and had great hopes for their future. Dan and Lisa encouraged Jess and Nick in their academic and extracurricular endeavors. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family has requested donations go towards the educational pursuits of Jess and Nick.
Jess, 19, a graduate of Walled Lake Northern High School in 2016, is currently pursuing certification in massage therapy at Irene’s Myomassology Institute in Southfield, Michigan. Upon completion, she hopes to enroll at University and pursue a degree in Physical Therapy.
Nick, 17, a senior at West Bloomfield High School, is the kicker/punter for the varsity football team. Nick is also actively involved in WBHS DECA, a business and marketing program, in which he participates in state, regional, and national competitions. Upon graduation, Nick hopes to continue his football career at the collegiate level and is currently in the process of finalizing his college options.
Please keep Lisa, Jess, Nick, and his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you in advance for your contributions and support.
